Stamping For All - Colour Challenge

Today's project is from a colour challenge I took part in on the Stamping For all Facebook Group.

The colours are Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Melon Mambo. I have to admit, I am not a pink girl, so the was a challenge. I grabbed the ink, cardstock and a stamp from the Forever Lovely Stamp set went to work and this is what I created!

The background measures 5 7/8 by 3 inch and I stamped with all three colours. This stamp set is one of our new distINKtive stamps it has lots of depth and the colours blended perfectly.
I added a 1/8 inch strip of Melon Mambo, a 1/4 inch strip of Powder Pink, then the 1/8 inch Flirty Flamingo ribbon from the ribbon combo pack in the All My Love Suite. The Powder Pink die-cut hearts are from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits and the puzzle pieces are from the Love you To Pieces stamp set and die bundle. I finished it off with the Heart Epoxy Droplets.

Having embraced my  aversion to pink I am really please with how this card turned out. Do you like it?

Thank you for visiting my blog today, hope to see you again soon.

Hello Cupcake! Inspire Create Challenge Entry

Hi everyone!
I hope you are keeping warm, it chilly here is Somerset, so I am hiding out in my crafty corner.
Today's project is a card I have made for the Inspire Create Challenge blog. The theme is a card sketch and here is my take on it.

This card is full of colour and fun, perfect for a Birthday or any occasion.
I started out with the free Hello Cupcake stamp set and teamed it with the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper. The Bermuda Bay card base and Melon Mambo mat, that I ran through the Swirls and Curls Embossing folder, really make the cupcake pop. The DSP has lots of colours in it so I had lots to choose from for the stamping. I used Pineapple Punch, Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape ink. I then cut the cupcake out with the largest circle of the Stitched Shape Framelits.

I am loving the colourful card in a dreary January. I think I will give it to my Mum to cheer her up.

I hope you like this card, see you again soon.

Simple box making- four different boxes, one set of measurements - 1 of 4 with Stampin' Up! products

I often get asked about how to make bags and boxes. So I thought I would do a little mini series. I have four projects using the same vertical measurements. The only thing that changes is the size of the paper and the horizontal score lines.
Our first project is the elegant monochrome bag.

I am using the gorgeous  Botanical Butterfly's paper. This a Sale-A-Bration freebie with a £45 spend. I cut it down to measure 8 1/4 inch by 12 inch. on the 12 inch side I scored at 2 1/4, 5 1/2, 7 3/4 and 11 inch. On the 11 1/2 inch side I made one score 1 1/2 to create the base of the box.

To decorate the bag I used the Butterfly Gala stamp set and punch. I punched the butterfly straight from the paper and curled its wings with my bone folder to give it dimension. I stamped the sentiment and punched it out with the 2 inch circle punch, backing it with the black foil sheet using the starburst punch. I finished it off with the glittered organdy ribbon and some rhinestones.

The finished bag measures 3 1/4 by 2 1/4 and stands at 6 3/4 inch high.

I will be back next Thursday with the box 2 of 4. You can find my tutorial for this project by clicking here.

How to episode 5- card making basics- simple stamping using Stampin' Up! products

Happy Tuesday! It time for another card making basics. So far we have learnt how to make a card base, matting and layering and stamping. Today we are using framelits and adding embellishments.

As its nearly February it is that time for love.
I have cut my card base from half a A4 sheet of our thick whisper white. and scored at 4 1/8 to make a tent fold card. I have used the Poppy Parade and Gorgeous Grape as it has the coordinating mini striped ribbon.
I cut my coloured mat at 5 5/8 by 3 7/8. Then my white layer at 5 2/8 by 3 5/8 inch. The I love you sentiment is from the vertical greetings stamp set. I then added the ribbon to the two glued together layers before sticking it down to the card base.

The image is from the twinkle twinkle stamp set. I used the two  largest of the stitched shape framelits to cut out the mat and layer. Do not worry if you do not have the framelits as you can cut squares of cardstock with your scissors or trimmer.

I used the red rhinestones for the red card and clear rhinestones, that I coloured with my highland heather dark blend.

I hope you like this project, feel free to ask any questions. below is the full YouTube tutorial. All the products used are available in my online store, click here to take a look.

Pootlers Blog Hop Sale-A-Bration Edition!

Hi everyone! I am so happy to be bringing you my creation for the Pootlers Blog Hop Sale-A-Bration Edition!

The blog hop is to showcase the free products in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. I was in my element making this card as it has purple and butterflys!

The card base is highland heather cut and scored to make a tent fold card base. The whisper white layer is 5 7/8 by 3.5 inch's. The purple flowered DSP is from the botanical butterfly paper pack and measures 5 7/8 by 3 inch. I added 9 inches of the organdy ribbon, in highland heather, from the ribbon combo pack. The butterfly's are the butterfly elements that I coloured with the highland heather blend. The sentiment is from the part of my story stamp set. I stamped it in gorgeous grape, then punched out with the 2 inch circle punch. I then backed it with a star burst punch from a scrap of highland heather card-stock. All finished off with some gingham gala adhesive back sequins.

I hope you love this card as much as I do. To continue on the hop click on the link below for more stunning makes.
