Bookfold Easel card

Hello and welcome to the first Pootlers team blog hop of 2023! I am so excited to be taking part for the first time!

We are hopping to celebrate the launch of the new January- April Mini catalogue.

I am using the Queen Bee Stamp set.

I have made a bookfold Easel card using basic black, basic white and basic gray.

My card base is 11 x 4.5 inch. Time felt this measurements gave the bookfold a better shape. I scored it on the long side at 5.5 and 4.5 inch to create the fold. Then glued down the front of the cardstock between to the two score lines.

The white strip is 4.5 inch by 3/4 of and inch. The mats for the front and inside measure 4 1/4 by 4.

I have stamped and die cut the Bee and the sentiment. Then used the stamps from the Queen Bee Stamp set to create the background using black and basic gray. Then added added some basic gray with a blending brush to defuse the white.

I have scored diagonally from the top right to bottom left to create the easel. Then attached the stamped mat by adding glue to only the bottom right corner.

I popped up the Bee and sentiment with dimensional, using the sentiment as the stopper for the easel.

I finished it off with some iridescent pearls to give it a bit of shine.

I hope you enjoyed my project. Please follow the link below to hop around the rest of the lovely Pootlers blogs.

This card measures 4 x 4 inches, the card stock I started with is 4 inch by 8 inch folded in half to make a side fold base.
The cut a square of the botanical butterfly designer series paper to measure 3 1/4 by 3 1/4. The stamped square is 2 x 2 inch stamped with Lemon Lime twist using the Hello Cupcake stamp set. All finished off with butterfly elements.

Simple box making 2- four different boxes, one set of measurements - with Stampin' Up! products

Hi everyone
Today I am bringing you box 2 of the simple box making.
I am making 4 different boxes using one set of measurements.

For this box I have used the Happiness Blooms Suite from the Spring & Summer Catalogue. This is a fun bold suite with vibrant colours, I just love it! This box would be great for Mothers Day or any gift for a friend.

I started with a sheet of International A4 cardstock in calypso Coral, using the same measurements as last time. So on the long side I scored at 2 1/4, 5 1/2, 7 3/4 and 11 inch. On the short side I scored at 1 1/2, then turned the cardstock and scored at 1 1/2 again. The box can close at both ends, so its ideal to make in bulk as it folds flat.

To decorate the box I used the Happiness Blooms designer series paper. You can get all you need from a half sheet. The two larger pieces are 5 inch by 3 inch and the two smaller pieces are 5 inch by 2 inch. With the scrap left over I punched out three of the smaller flowers with the coordinating bitty blooms punch.

To decorate, I punched a 2 1/4 in circle in pineapple punch cardstock. For the sentiment, that comes from the Strong and Beautiful stamp set, I used the starburst punch. I popped the flowers on top and finished it off with some Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots in pineapple punch. The finished dimensions are 5 1/4 by 3 1/4 and 2 1/4 deep. So its a good sized box to fill with treats.

I hope you enjoyed the make. The video tutorial is over on my YouTube channel.

Rainbow Gingham CASE How to episode 6 - card making basics- with Stampin' Up! products

Today's card is a rainbow of colour using the Gingham Gala Suite.
I have CASEed this card from the Spring Summer Catologue on page 34. Our catalogues are great for shopping but they also offer creative suggestions of what to do with your new collection of crafty loveliness.

I started with my usual side fold card base, Cut from our thick whisper white card stock. I then cut five, 1 inch by 4 inch strips, of the 6 x 6 Gingham Gala designer series paper, in each colour. To ensure even spacing I glued down the two ends first, working my way into the middle.
The butterfly is stamped with the butterfly gala stamp set and punched out with the butterfly duet punch. I found my placement than stamped the antenna on to the DSP. The sentiment is stamped on a small scrap of whisper white card stock, I flagged the end and popped it up with some mini dimensionals.
I finished it off with the Gingham Gala adhesive backed sequins in coordinating colours.

The full tutorial is over on my YouTube Channel.

The butterfly duet punch is out of stock at present, it is coming back and will carry over to the new Annual Catalogue coming in June.
